Petro Faraz Iranian Company has successfully completed the chemical acid cleaning operations for the pipelines leading to the equipment of the NGL3200 project site from December 1, 2022, to March 20, 2024, commissioned by Farasat Energy Falat Company.
Technical Project Description
The transmission pipelines leading to the equipment of the NGL3200 project site were highly susceptible to the formation of sulfide and oxide scales, which had reduced flow transmission efficiency and increased internal corrosion.
The acid cleaning operation was carried out to eliminate sulfide (FeS) and oxide (Fe₂O₃, Fe₃O₄) scales using customized chemical solutions, including hydrochloric acid and highly effective corrosion inhibitors. The process involved controlled injection of the acid solution, precise adjustment of temperature and flow parameters, and strict monitoring of the acid contact time with the internal surface of the pipelines to ensure optimal cleaning while preventing any additional corrosion damage.
