In the lubrication systems of centrifugal compressors, particularly within high-temperature refinery environments and complex hydrocarbon streams, the accumulation of suspended particles, oil oxidation, and the formation of metallic and carbonaceous deposits lead to reduced efficiency, line blockages, and an increased risk of damage to bearings and rotating components.
The primary objective of this acid cleaning operation was to eliminate organic and inorganic deposits from the lube oil circuit lines, enhance flow rates, minimize pressure drops, and restore the system’s original design conditions.
